Or, as Rodgers put it after Wednesday\u2019s practice, \u201cVery candid. Yeah, very candid.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When Rodgers said after the 20-3 defeat in Foxborough that he needed to a better job of letting McCarthy know what might work and what won\u2019t, it wasn\u2019t in any sort of backhanded manner. Having previously worked together for 13 years in Green Bay, the pair doesn\u2019t have to sugarcoat anything.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think, clearly, the conversations are longer in some areas, and then obviously shorter in most,\u201d McCarthy said before Thursday\u2019s practice. \u201cAnd I mean longer just because it\u2019s been a minute since we\u2019ve worked together. He\u2019s had experience in other schemes, other concepts, and it\u2019s important for us to continue to (consider) not only just the specific concept, but the variations of the concept.
