We are launching a new video feature on JetNation called New York Jets Every Play, giving Jets fans a chance to take a closer look at individual players each week. Instead of just showing the biggest highlights, these videos focus on a player’s work throughout the game. This week we go back through the Jets 31-24 loss to the Detroit Lions with every play from Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall, Jeremy Ruckert, and David Bailey in our New York Jets Video breakdown.

The Jets came up short in Detroit, but there were plenty of individual performances worth another look. Garrett Wilson had his first 100-yard receiving game since 2024, Jeremy Ruckert found the end zone, Breece Hall was involved as both a runner and receiver before leaving with an injury, and rookie David Bailey continued to get important snaps on defense.

Garrett Wilson Every Play vs. Detroit Lions

Garrett Wilson reminded everyone what he can do when the Jets consistently get the football in his hands. Wilson was targeted 13 times and finished with 10 receptions for 107 yards and a touchdown. His biggest play came late in the fourth quarter when Geno Smith found him for a 23-yard touchdown on fourth down. The score helped complete the Jets comeback from a 24-10 deficit.

Watching every Wilson play provides a much different perspective than simply watching his catches. You can see the routes, the attention he draws from the Detroit secondary, and how the Jets worked to create opportunities for their top receiver.

Breece Hall Every Play vs. Detroit Lions

Breece Hall’s afternoon was cut short by a thigh injury, but he was still a significant part of the Jets offense before leaving the game. Hall carried the ball 13 times for 32 yards and caught all three of his targets for another 23 receiving yards. Detroit did a good job of limiting the explosive runs, but the Every Play video gives fans a chance to watch Hall beyond the box score, including his work in the passing game and what was happening in front of him on his rushing attempts. In other words, this is a good way to decide for yourself how bad the offensive line played.

Jeremy Ruckert Every Play vs. Detroit Lions

Jeremy Ruckert made the most of his opportunities against Detroit. The Jets tight end caught all five of his targets for 39 yards and a touchdown. His four-yard touchdown reception from Geno Smith came in the fourth quarter and helped the Jets erase a two-score deficit.

Ruckert’s Every Play video is also a good example of why we are starting this series. Tight end play involves much more than receiving statistics. Watching the complete collection of snaps provides a better look at how a player is being used within the offense.

David Bailey Every Play vs. Detroit Lions

On the defensive side, we are taking a closer look at David Bailey. The rookie edge defender has been one of the young Jets worth watching since training camp, and the Every Play format lets fans focus on Bailey instead of following the football on every snap.

Watch his pass rushes, how Detroit blocks him, his pursuit of the football, and his work against the run. For fans who like digging deeper into the development of young players, these defensive cutups should be one of the best parts of this new series.

This is just the start of New York Jets Every Play. We will continue breaking out individual Jets performances throughout the season, giving fans another way to watch the players everyone is talking about after each game. If you enjoy these videos, subscribe to JetNation on YouTube and turn on notifications so you don’t miss the next round of New York Jets Every Play videos.
