The Jaguars are bringing Smoot back, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/AdamSchefter\/status\/1930017479235158441\" rel=\"nofollow\">ESPN\u2019s Adam Schefter reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Now 30, Smoot will join a new Jaguars regime but be part of a familiar position group. Smoot profiles as a rotational rusher behind starters <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/A\/AlleJo03.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.profootballrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-06-03_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Josh Hines-Allen<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/W\/WalkTr03.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.profootballrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-06-03_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Travon Walker<\/a>. Additionally, the Jaguars are signing wide receiver <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/I\/IrwiTr00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.profootballrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-06-03_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Trenton Irwin<\/a> as part of a continued overhaul at the position. Wide receiver <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/W\/WhitDa06.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">David White <\/a>was waived to make room on the roster.<\/p>\n<p>Smoot appeared in 11 games (four starts) for the Bills in 2024, typically lining up off the edge with some snaps as an interior rusher.
