The Seattle Seahawks shouldn’t have to deal with the same weather concerns in Week 4 that the team had to deal with in a stunning loss in Week 3<\/a> to the Washington Commanders. This Sunday at Lumen Field should be a beautiful day.<\/p>\n

Not that bad weather should be an excuse for a loss. Both teams have to play in the same conditions, and Seattle scored enough points to beat Washington. It was the untimely, terrible run defense that let the Seahawks down in Week 3. That wasn’t a wind or rain problem.<\/p>\n

In Week 4, according to the Weather Channel<\/a>, the weather will be pristine in the Pacific Northwest. You might want to even take a hike before or after the game because you will want to be outdoors as much as possible. <\/p>\n

Weather report for the Seattle Seahawks versus the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 4<\/p>\n

Temperatures will reach the lower 70s and the wind won’t blow past 6-7 mph. While there is a 20 percent chance of precipitation, that is only because there is almost always a 20 percent chance of rain in Seattle in the autumn. Otherwise, and maybe always, it will be partly cloudy.<\/p>\n

Why this is important is that the Seahawks will have no reason to worry about their footing or punts going awry, or anything else that might have led to a loss. The Chargers won’t struggle either, of course, but Seattle has the better roster, and with the weather not being an issue, tilting the game in one team’s favor over another, the Seahawks should win.<\/p>\n

That would sink the Chargers to 0-4, but that isn’t our concern here. What we care about is the Seattle Seahawks taking advantage of every opportunity they have to defeat teams they should be defeating. The San Francisco 49ers haven’t yet lost, and the Los Angeles Rams and Arizona Cardinals already have two losses.<\/p>\n

The NFC West race is likely to come down to the end of the season, meaning Seattle needs to pick up victories early. A loss to the Chargers would be unacceptable, but on a dry field with light winds, that shouldn’t happen.<\/p>\n

Mike Macdonald’s defense should be extra motivated to do better than in Week 3; Sam Darnold should have no issues completing passes to Jaxon Smith-Njigba; and punter Michael Dickson, who also wasn’t good in Week 3, should be back to normal in Week 4<\/a>. That should all equate to a victory.<\/p>\n
