Chiefs receiver Tyquan Thornton suffered an apparent serious lower-leg injury during the fourth quarter of Sunday’s matchup with the Raiders.

Thornton caught a 55-yard pass down to the Las Vegas 5-yard line. But as he was tackled by safety Treydan Stukes, the defender landed on his ankle.

It appeared to be a hip-drop tackle.

Thornton was then shown on the CBS broadcast with his left foot positioned in an unnatural manner.

Thornton’s left foot/leg was placed in an air cast, and he was carted off the field.

The Chiefs were able to score on the next play, with Kenneth Walker taking in a 2-yard touchdown to give Kansas City a 23-19 lead. While the team went for two to make it a six-point advantage, the try failed.

Chiefs receiver Tyquan Thornton suffered an apparent serious lower-leg injury during the fourth quarter of Sunday’s matchup with…

[2063
346,7,118,110,2438,2437,6
post-1019025","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-kansas-city-chiefs","tag-chiefs","tag-football","tag-kansas-city","tag-kansas-city-chiefs","tag-kansascity","tag-kansascitychiefs","tag-nfl
["GET
