{"id":1024861,"date":"2026-10-11T18:36:27","date_gmt":"2026-10-11T18:36:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/1024861\/"},"modified":"2026-10-11T18:36:27","modified_gmt":"2026-10-11T18:36:27","slug":"eagles-lose-a-heartbreaker-in-london-after-jaguars-kick-last-second-field-goal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/1024861\/","title":{"rendered":"Eagles lose a heartbreaker in London after Jaguars kick last-second field goal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Philadelphia Eagles scored their first second-half points in three weeks, but the Jacksonville Jaguars answered with last-second heroics in a wild 19-17 win at London&#8217;s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The Eagles had taken a 17-16 lead on Jake Elliott&#8217;s 48-yard field goal with 8 seconds left \u2014 after Cam Little&#8217;s extra-point attempt was wide left following Parker Washington&#8217;s 27-yard touchdown reception late in the fourth quarter. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Then Ameer Abdullah returned a kick for 53 yards, and went down with 1 second left \u2014 allowing Little to get redemption with a game-winning field goal as time expired.<\/p>\n<p>Philadelphia, which slipped to 2-3 for the first time since 2021, played <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/philadelphia\/news\/eagles-injury-report-saquon-barkley-devonta-smith\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">without leading rusher Saquon Barkley and receiver DeVonta Smith<\/a> and with a makeshift offensive line.<\/p>\n<p>      <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/ap26284629640534.jpg#.jpeg\" alt=\"Cam Little \" height=\"413\" width=\"620\" class=\" lazyload\"  loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p>                  Jacksonville Jaguars place kicker Cam Little (39) celebrates after scoring the winning field goal during an NFL football game against Philadelphia Eagles in London, Sunday, Oct. 11, 2026. (AP Photo\/Ian Walton)<\/p>\n<p>                Ian Walton\/AP Photo<\/p>\n<p>Trevor Lawrence completed 24 of 39 passes for 331 yards and two touchdowns \u2014 both to Washington \u2014 along with an interception for the Jaguars (4-1).<\/p>\n<p>Eagles linebacker Zack Baun ensured his team went into halftime with a 14-7 lead by getting past Chris Rodriguez Jr. and <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Eagles\/status\/2109302910366707832\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">tackling Bhayshul Tuten<\/a> for a loss when Jacksonville went for it on fourth-and-goal from the 1 with 1 second left in the half. Two plays later, Will Shipley carried it in from the 2 to finish a 13-play drive that took more than seven minutes. Jalen Hurts had kept the drive alive by finding Dontayvion Wicks for an 18-yard reception on third-and-10 in Jacksonville territory.<\/p>\n<p>After the Jags went three-and-out, Hurts needed less than a minute to get his team in the end zone again. He threw a 62-yard touchdown pass to Darius Cooper on third down and the Philly-heavy crowd erupted with a 14-7 lead.<\/p>\n<p>Little&#8217;s 34-yard field goal in the third quarter made it 14-10.<\/p>\n<p>Hurts completed 21 of 40 passes for 220 yards and one touchdown. Jalen Carter had two sacks and two forced fumbles for the Eagles.<\/p>\n<p>Jaguars rookie Josh Cameron returned the opening kickoff 90 yards for a would-be touchdown, but it was called back because of offsetting penalties including a hold by Jacksonville&#8217;s Branson Combs.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, there was a scrum at midfield, with pushing and shoving on both sides. Two players were ejected: Jacksonville&#8217;s Bryan Thomas Jr. and Philadelphia&#8217;s Jeremiah Trotter Jr.<\/p>\n<p>Eagles: Edge rusher Jonathan Greenard (ankle) warmed up, but was ruled out ahead of the game&#8230; OLB Jalyx Hunt was injured on the last play of the first half and was helped off the field. &#8230; DB Michael Carter was ruled out in the third quarter&#8230;.
