Entering the game, quarterback Michael Penix Jr.\u2019s return had turned the Falcons into the <a href=\"https:\/\/awfulannouncing.com\/nfl\/michael-wilbon-tony-kornheiser-pardon-interruption-falcons-freezing-cold-takes.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">unlikeliest of primetime darlings<\/a> over recent weeks, while the Ravens were without two-time MVP Lamar Jackson, who was out with an ankle injury.<\/p>\n<p>The Ravens, who started Tyler \u201cSnoop\u201d Huntley in Jackson\u2019s absence, were underdogs heading into the game. Unsurprisingly, star running back Derrick Henry was undeterred, carrying the ball 24 times for 102 yards and catching an 18-yard touchdown pass from Huntley in a gutsy 30-23 overtime win.<\/p>\n<p>During his post-game press conference, the future Hall of Famer noted that six of eight Baltimore Sun staffers picked the Falcons to win, and made sure to acknowledge it with the Sun\u2019s Brian Wacker.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI do want to say, I saw a post on Instagram, Baltimore Sun; there wasn\u2019t a lot of y\u2019all picking us to win,\u201d Henry said with a smirk, before pointing at Wacker. \u201cYeah, you were one of them. I couldn\u2019t wait for this moment. I\u2019m going to go back and look because I saved it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Sorry, Derrick \ud83d\ude02<\/p>\n<p>The @ravens running back was keeping receipts.<\/p>\n<p>\ud83c\udfa5: Brian Wacker https:\/\/t.co\/ommrBWeRzN<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 The Baltimore Sun (@baltimoresun) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/baltimoresun\/status\/2109505848263561223?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow\">October 12, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cDerrick, for the record, I was one of the guys who picked the Ravens,\u201d Wacker responded.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOkay, that\u2019s why I treaded lightly,\u201d Henry responded, earning laughs from the other media members in the room.<\/p>\n<p>The entire exchange between Henry and Wacker was all in good fun, and one of the Sun\u2019s non-believers owned up to taking Atlanta afterward.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDerrick Henry saw most of us at The Baltimore Sun predicted a Falcons win,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/samdcohn\/status\/2109503585658798166?s=20\" rel=\"nofollow\">Sam Cohn wrote on X<\/a>. \u201cWe were wrong.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Given how Penix left the game with a rib injury, and how the Falcons looked since his return to the field, it\u2019s understandable that Cohn and so many of his colleagues picked a shorthanded Ravens squad to lose.
