FRISCO \u2014 Cowboys players were not at The Star in Frisco on Monday\u00a0\u2014 a logical decision after arriving early Monday morning after the 23-13 loss to the Green Bay Packers<\/a>. Schottenheimer didn\u2019t have to see his players to know how they were feeling, however.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Schottenheimer said his Cowboys players are matching his demeanor the day after the team fell to 2-4.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m pissed off,\u201d Schottenheimer said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI think they\u2019re pissed off, too.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a little different than the demeanor the Cowboys showed in Green Bay<\/a> after the loss Sunday. The Cowboys were quiet when they walked to the locker room after the game. Inside, there wasn\u2019t a lot of noise, either. Multiple players expressed the frustration of how Sunday\u2019s game went. Cornerback DaRon Bland even said they were surprised at being 2-4 through six weeks.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cRight now, it sucks,\u201d Cowboys outside linebacker Rashan Gary said after the game. \u201cWe\u2019ll take that and we\u2019re going to go to the next weekend and get better.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott also said the feeling of back-to-back losses for the first time this season isn\u2019t necessarily easy to shake.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cBut it should make you hungry to get back to work and that is the most important part of it. Whether you can flush it or not, maybe we shouldn\u2019t flush it,\u201d Prescott said after the game. \u201cMaybe we should bring this into each and every day. Maybe we just bring the last two weeks of each and every day of our preparation and intensify our focus in everything that we are trying to accomplish.\u201d<\/p>\n

And maybe they should be a little angry, too. Schottenheimer said Monday that he prefers an angry team in this situation compared to a measured one.<\/p>\n

A day after the loss, it seems like there\u2019s still anger in the team facility, even if the players weren\u2019t there Monday. The demeanor of the team apparently reflects the head coach.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll never not take accountability for the fact that we\u2019re two and four,\u201d Schottenheimer said. \u201cIt\u2019s not what we planned on being. That\u2019s not where the standard of what we\u2019re trying to do is. But again, I think at the end of the day, these guys are focused on the right things and that\u2019s it. We got to play better.
