Read our <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/betting-editorial-standards\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">editorial standards<\/a> for more information.<\/p>\n<p>The 49ers have looked like the best team in the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/betting\/best-nfl-betting-sites\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">NFL<\/a> so far this season, but Sunday\u2019s trip to Atlanta has all the makings of a trap game.<\/p>\n<p>San Francisco has barely had to travel since returning from Australia following its season opener, playing four of its last five games at home and making only a short trip north up to Seattle.<\/p>\n<p>Now, the 49ers must travel across the country on a short week after narrowly escaping the Commanders in Santa Clara on Monday night.<\/p>\n<p>That 23-17 victory also exposed some potential problems for San Francisco\u2019s offense.<\/p>\n<p>The 49ers jumped out to a 20-3 halftime lead but managed just three points after the break, with their offense sputtering following Mike Evans\u2019 departure with an Achilles injury.<\/p>\n<p>San Francisco averaged 9.3 yards per play with Evans on the field, compared to just 4.5 and zero touchdowns after he exited.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>His status for Sunday remains uncertain, although it wouldn\u2019t be surprising if Evans sat out with a bye looming in Week 8, and the 49ers are already<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/10\/20\/betting\/nfl-week-7-confidence-pool-rankings\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"> dealing with several injuries<\/a> at wide receiver.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.49926794;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\"   data-modal-image=\"41123022\" width=\"885\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/bijan-robinson-7-atlanta-falcons-142411215.jpg\" alt=\"Atlanta Falcons' Bijan Robinson (7) celebrates after scoring a touchdown.\" class=\"wp-image-41123022\"\/>Atlanta Falcons\u2019 Bijan Robinson (7) celebrates after scoring a touchdown against the Green Bay Packers during the first quarter of a game at Lambeau Field, Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026, in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
