{"id":10460,"date":"2025-04-29T19:00:08","date_gmt":"2025-04-29T19:00:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/10460\/"},"modified":"2025-04-29T19:00:08","modified_gmt":"2025-04-29T19:00:08","slug":"seattle-seahawks-waive-4-players-to-make-room-for-undrafted-free-agents","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/10460\/","title":{"rendered":"Seattle Seahawks waive 4 players to make room for undrafted free agents"},"content":{"rendered":"<p id=\"jEbI33\">After several days worth of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fieldgulls.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Seattle Seahawks<\/a> adding players to their roster through the draft, the team has moved on from a handful of players to make room for their incoming draft picks and undrafted rookies.<\/p>\n<p id=\"i77oP8\">On Tuesday, the Seahawks waived the following players:<\/p>\n<p>Quarterback Jaren Hall<br \/>\nCenter Mike Novitsky<br \/>\nLinebacker Michael Dowell<br \/>\nOutside linebacker Kenneth Odumegwu <\/p>\n<p id=\"R5F7mD\">Hall is probably the most notable name given that has reduced the Seahawks\u2019 quarterback roster from five to three. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fieldgulls.com\/2025\/4\/26\/24418172\/the-seahawks-sam-howell-trade-is-complete\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sam Howell was traded to the Minnesota Vikings<\/a> on the final day of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sbnation.com\/nfl-draft\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">NFL Draft<\/a>, and now the former Vikings draft pick is also off the roster. Sam Darnold, Drew Lock, and third-round rookie Jalen Milroe are the only QBs on the team.<\/p>\n<p id=\"z3lHB1\">Novitsky, Dowell, and Kenneth Odumegwu all signed reserve\/future deals after ending the 2024 regular season on the practice squad.<\/p>\n<p id=\"pjFrHT\">Exempting draft picks, the Seahawks had 67 players on the active roster. Subtracting these four players and adding the 11 draft choices, Seattle currently has room for 16 undrafted free agents.
