The New England Patriots<\/a> will have an all-time great return to Gillette Stadium, and head coach Mike Vrabel and quarterback Drake Maye<\/a> have made their feelings known about the occasion.<\/p>\n Patriots legend Tom Brady<\/a> will return to Foxborough on Sunday, Nov. 8, to call New England\u2019s matchup against the Green Bay Packers<\/a> as FOX\u2019s lead color analyst.<\/p>\n The seven-time Super Bowl champion will be broadcasting a Patriots game for the first time since joining FOX in 2024, boosting intrigue around a matchup between two 5-3 teams.<\/p>\n Mike Vrabel Expects to Reunite With Tom Brady During Patriots Weekend<\/p>\n \n Vrabel, who spent eight seasons playing alongside Brady in New England, was asked whether he expects to catch up with the legendary quarterback during his return.<\/p>\n The Patriots coach revealed that he expects to speak with Brady as part of FOX\u2019s broadcast preparations, while also anticipating an opportunity to see him at a different but major franchise event.<\/p>\n \u201cI think I\u2019m required contractually to catch up with him at some point. I\u2019m sure it\u2019ll be a Zoom. I\u2019m sure they won\u2019t show up here. I\u2019m sure it will be on Zoom,\u201d Vrabel said during his Nov. 4 press conference<\/a>. \u201cSo yep, contractually I\u2019ll be talking to him, and I\u2019m sure I\u2019ll see him at Gronk\u2019s induction on Saturday.\u201d<\/p>\n Former Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski<\/a> will be inducted into the team\u2019s Hall of Fame on Saturday, Nov. 7, at Patriot Place Plaza.<\/p>\n Vrabel and Brady won three Super Bowls together with the Patriots, establishing a relationship that has continued past their playing careers.<\/p>\n Their anticipated reunion arrives as Vrabel attempts to guide New England back toward a second-consecutive postseason appearance following the franchise\u2019s run to Super Bowl LX last season.<\/p>\n Drake Maye Addresses Tom Brady\u2019s Return to Gillette Stadium<\/p>\n \n Maye also shared his thoughts on Brady\u2019s upcoming appearance, noting the gravity of the franchise icon coming back to the stadium where he built his legacy.<\/p>\n \u201cYeah, it\u2019s obviously cool. What a legend to come back here, and it\u2019s definitely cool for him, I bet, to come back and call a game in the stadium where he won so many games and was a legend in this stadium,\u201d Maye said during his Wednesday press conference<\/a>.<\/p>\n The third-year quarterback credited Brady, the Patriots organization and New England\u2019s fan base with helping institute Gillette Stadium\u2019s reputation.<\/p>\n But Maye also made clear that Brady\u2019s presence in the broadcast booth won\u2019t change his approach to Sunday\u2019s game.<\/p>\n \u201cIt really doesn\u2019t affect me much,\u201d Maye said.<\/p>\n Maye added that he wasn\u2019t certain whether NFL rules would permit him to speak with Brady during FOX\u2019s production meetings because of the former quarterback\u2019s ownership stake in the Las Vegas Raiders<\/a>.<\/p>\n Regardless, the Patriots quarterback stated his appreciation for Brady\u2019s contributions to the franchise.<\/p>\n \u201cYou just try to go appreciate him for what he left here, and that\u2019s really about it.\u201d<\/p>\n Brady was in New England for 20 seasons, winning six Super Bowls before snagging his seventh championship with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers<\/a>.<\/p>\n Now Maye is attempting to build his own legacy in Foxborough, having helped the Patriots reach the Super Bowl last season.<\/p>\n The young quarterback has New England at 5-3 through eight games in 2026, with the Patriots seeking their fourth consecutive home victory when they face Green Bay.<\/p>\n \n\t\t\tDuncan Day<\/a> is a sports contributor for Heavy.
