Chicago Bears left guard Joe Thuney, who was acquired by the team in March and recently signed a two-year, $35 million contract extension, paid $1.675 million in April for a four-bedroom, 4,236-square-foot house in Lake Forest.<\/p>\n

Last week, Elite Street reported that Thuney, who previously played for the Kansas City Chiefs, had his five-bedroom, 5,291-square-foot house in Mission Hills, Kansas, on the market<\/a> for just under $1.5 million. Oon May 30, the sale of that home closed, likely for an amount close to $1.5 million. Now, Elite Street has learned where Thuney is laying down roots in the Chicago area.<\/p>\n

In Lake Forest, Thuney\u2019s new house has four full bathrooms, two half baths, a grand two-story foyer, an open floor plan, limestone floors, a family room with a fireplace and a kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a wet bar and an island with a breakfast bar.\u00a0Other features include a living room with double French doors, a primary bedroom suite with a large walk-in closet and a fireplace and a lower level with a wine cellar, a rec room and a wet bar with bartop seating.<\/p>\n

Outdoor features on the 0.97-acre property include a hot tub and a patio.<\/p>\n

The house first had been listed in August for $1.88 million, and was reduced in September, first to $1.84 million and then to $1.795 million.\u00a0It underwent one more price cut, to $1.75 million, in February.<\/p>\n

Real estate agent Leticia Tassone represented Thuney.\u00a0She declined to comment.<\/p>\n

The house had a $23,557 property tax bill in the 2024 tax year.<\/p>\n
