Don\u2019t expect to see Malcolm Rodriguez<\/a> for a while.<\/p>\n

Detroit Lions<\/a> coach Dan Campbell said Thursday, June 5, that he didn\u2019t expect the linebacker to be available to play the first two months of the 2025 season.<\/p>\n

\u201cConservatively November,\u201d he said, when asked to give a timetable for Rodriguez\u2019s return. \u201cSomewhere in there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rodriguez tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee last November during a 23-20 victory over the Chicago Bears<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A former sixth-round pick in 2022, Rodriguez made 15 starts as a rookie and nine total the past two seasons. He has produced 151 tackles, three sacks and forced two fumbles during his career<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Rodriguez, 26, is in the final year of his contract. During this offseason, the Lions<\/a> have added reinforcements at linebacker \u2014 signing Grant Stuard<\/a> at the dawn of free agency in March and Zach Cunningham<\/a> in late May.<\/p>\n
