In Shakir’s rookie season (2022), he had just 10 catches for 161 yards. That grew to 39 catches and 611 yards in his sophomore season. And, last year, he produced career highs with 76 catches and 821 yards (both led the team).<\/p>\n Shakir’s early portion of his career aligns a lot with Allen’s, as Allen improved immensely year-over-year in his first three seasons, while breaking out in year three.<\/p>\n Now, Shakir gets to work with the MVP version of Allen<\/a>, and he has become his safety outlet over the middle and on quick screen plays. He has consistent hands and is a menace after the catch. Though their average target depth as a duo is on the lower side, at 6.1 yards over the past two seasons, Allen and Shakir have ideal efficiency scores with the highest completion rate (83.6%) on this list and no turnover-worthy plays.<\/p>\n They have good numbers for what is asked of Shakir, but he only ever really plays in 11 personnel, so it\u2019s hard to say they\u2019re a top duo since their connection is more situational and scheme-dependent.<\/p>\n
