Titans HC Brian Callahan Provides Update on Former Pro Bowler at OTAs <\/a> originally appeared on Athlon Sports<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Tennessee Titans were forced to completely overhaul their roster this offseason after a brutal three-win campaign in 2024. While this poor performance did net them the No. 1 overall pick and the rights to highly touted signal-caller Cam Ward, this team is far more than a quarterback away.<\/p>\n

New general manager Mike Borgonzi, who spent the last 16 seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, recognized this immediately. He made it a point to add several veteran pass-catchers to ease Ward’s transition and he beefed up the offensive line with several free agent signings.<\/p>\n

Former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive tackle Dan Moore Jr. was the team’s biggest addition on the offensive line, but they also added former Detroit Lions guard Kevin Zeitler.<\/p>\n

Zeitler is already 35 years old, but he played good football for the 15-win Lions last season. Unfortunately, he has not been participating in the Titans’ offseason program thus far.<\/p>\n

Head coach Brian Callahan cleared the air about Zeitler’s absence, however, when he spoke to the media on Tuesday after the team’s OTAs.<\/p>\n

“He\u2019s here, again, we\u2019re just being smart managing him at 35 years old,\u201d Callahan said. \u201cWe\u2019ll just take it slow with him, don\u2019t need to see a lot Zeitler at the moment. He\u2019s pretty proven at this point in his career.\u201d<\/p>\n

For the first time in several years, it feels like the Titans have a strong balance of young talent and experienced veterans. Recent first-round picks JC Latham and Peter Skoronski will be great contributors on the offensive line, but they will also be supplemented by Moore, Zeitler and Lloyd Cushenberry III.<\/p>\n

The same rings true for the pass-catching groups, as Calvin Ridley, Tyler Lockett, Van Jefferson and Chig Okonkwo are expected to garner most of the targets. However, young players like Chimere Dike, Elic Ayomanor, Gunnar Helm and Xavier Restrepo all have promising futures too.<\/p>\n
