The Cleveland Browns invested another $160 million in Myles Garrett this offseason, making him the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL.<\/p>\n

And the team fully expects him to continue the Hall of Fame trajectory that his career has been on over the past eight seasons.<\/p>\n

Browns’ defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz thinks that will surely happen and has high hopes for a great season from Garrett.<\/p>\n

“I really think Myles is going to have the best season of his career. And has to right?” Schwartz said with a laugh. “I’ve told him before, what’s that Spider-Man quote, ‘with great power comes great responsibility.’ With the big contract, with the notoriety that came along with that, with the process that took to get him to that point, there also comes … there’s always pressure in this league, but probably a little bit more so. But I think that brings out the best in players, and I know that will be the case with Myles also.”<\/p>\n

Garrett is a six-time Pro Bowler, a Defensive Player of the Year, a four-time First-Team All-Pro and a two-time Second-Team All-Pro.<\/p>\n

And the Browns aren’t putting all their eggs in the Garrett basket.<\/p>\n

The team got him some help with their first two picks in this year’s draft, with defensive tackle Mason Graham and linebacker Carson Schwesinger.<\/p>\n

Garrett is coming off one of his most productive seasons with 47 tackles, including 40 solo and a career high 22 for loss. He added 14 sacks and 28 QB hits along with one pass defended, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.<\/p>\n

Garrett will continue to do Garrett things. And that’s part of what will hopefully make this Cleveland defense something for opposing offenses to fear in 2025.<\/p>\n
