The winds of change have blown through 1 Jets drive this offseason as the Aaron Glenn era for the New York Jets gets underway.<\/p>\n

With some fresh faces, including Justin Fields<\/a> and former Detroit Lion Josh Reynolds, OTAs are of the utmost importance for developing chemistry, which will serve them well in the regular season.<\/p>\n

Part of Tanner Engstrand’s offense, Reynolds has history with his coordinator after time in Detroit, and now he is back working as he looks to reestablish himself in the league – and he’s doing it with a new quarterback in Fields.<\/p>\n

“He can throw it,” Reynolds said with a smile<\/a>. “He’s got a beautiful ball. He’s a smart quarterback, he’s been picking up this offense pretty fast, and it’s not easy. I’m excited to see how he continues to develop as the plays get a little easier, and it’s going to be rolling.”<\/p>\n

Things appear to be getting off to a nice start between Fields and Reynolds, which is crucial, given the current makeup of the receiver room.<\/p>\n

It is Garrett Wilson and then the rest.<\/p>\n

Reynolds and Allen Lazard loom as the No. 2 and No. 3 weapons, although it is unknown who will land at which spot, with training camp offering the chance for either to stake their claim.<\/p>\n

As for Fields, this may be his last chance to prove to the NFL world that he can be a starting quarterback. He has a clear runway, a star receiver, a good running back tandem, and an offensive line that’s one of the better units in football.<\/p>\n

And going by Reynold’s words, he’s off to a good start with his new team.<\/p>\n
