The Los Angeles Rams<\/a> have their eyes set on repeating as NFC West champions in 2025. Between bringing back Matthew Stafford and signing Davante Adams, L.A. also looks like a its team primed for run at the Super Bowl.<\/p>\n

One writer disagrees, though. Pro Football Network’s Kyle Soppe<\/a> predicted the Rams would miss the postseason despite a 82.4% chance to make the playoffs, per PFN’s predictor. The teams that it ahead of the Rams included the NFC West-winning Arizona Cardinals<\/a> as well as the Philadelphia Eagles<\/a>, Green Bay Packers<\/a> and Seattle Seahawks<\/a> in the wildcard.<\/p>\n

“A ninth road game in addition to the risk of the age of their offensive weapons, introduces a level of risk that other teams don\u2019t have,” Soppe wrote, “but there is a path to a ceiling that is very obtainable that our numbers clearly have more faith in than I do!”<\/p>\n

While this is a tough ascertain to make before a game is played, there is a tiny bit of merit to tamper expectations around the Rams’ 2025 season.<\/p>\n

L.A. will play a first-place schedule as division champions, meaning they’ll play the Philadelphia Eagles and Detroit Lions<\/a> in addition to the Baltimore Ravens<\/a>. While not a scheduling issue, the Rams do have a few aging stars at major positions like quarterback (Matthew Stafford), receiver (Davante Adams) and right tackle (Rob Havenstein). Injuries could rip through the team at any moment given the lack of depth at some areas.<\/p>\n

This is all the negatives around the Rams, though. This is still a team that lost to the Super Bowl champions by less than a touchdown despite playing in a blizzard and returned all of their top players. L.A.’s young defense got better and better as the season went on, too, and should only improve in 2025.<\/p>\n
