Wan\u2019Dale Robinson<\/a> had the greatest season ever by a Kentucky Wildcat. He was rewarded by being sent to the NFL to catch passes from Daniel Jones<\/a>. It was not exactly an ideal scenario. <\/p>\n

To make matters worse, Robinson\u2019s rookie season ended prematurely with an ACL injury. Entering his fourth season, he is getting a fresh start. <\/p>\n

The G-Men made a few offseason moves, most notably bringing in Russell Wilson<\/a> to be the starting quarterback. They also drafted Jaxson Dart<\/a> from Ole Miss, allowing the rookie to find his place with the 10-time Pro Bowler taking the reins at the start. <\/p>\n

The early returns have been positive. Even though Wilson left Pittsburgh fans wanting more, Robinson appreciates the enthusiasm Wilson is bringing into the Giants\u2019 locker room at OTAs. <\/p>\n

\u201cAt the end of the day, that\u2019s what you want. You don\u2019t want your quarterback to be lackadaisical or anything like that. You want your quarterback to be high-strung, really motivated, detailed, and that\u2019s exactly what he is,\u201d Robinson said a few days ago<\/a>. <\/p>\n

He added, \u201cIt\u2019s been nice. He\u2019s a guy who\u2019s been in this league a long time. He tells you exactly what he wants out there, running routes, and the spots he needs you to be in, so it\u2019s been really nice.\u201d<\/p>\n

A few Giants wide receivers made an offseason trip to Atlanta to get better acquainted with their new quarterback. They could feel a significant difference when running routes with Wilson. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe way he just commanded, even just that little session of just the three of us, me, Slay, and Theo. It was just kinda like, we haven\u2019t had a quarterback that\u2019s just gonna command everything, and you know exactly what you want. So, he\u2019s been great,\u201d Robinson said. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s clear Wilson is past his prime. He\u2019s not the mobile quarterback who made plays with his legs en route to a Super Bowl. However, his arm can still put the ball in tight spaces. <\/p>\n

\u201cThat deep ball drops right in the bucket,\u201d said the former Kentucky Wildcat. \u201cWhenever he\u2019s throwing the shorter routes and stuff like that, it comes in like a pillow. It\u2019s really easy to catch.\u201d<\/p>\n

That deep ball may be more a part of Robinson\u2019s game this fall. The slot has been asked to primarily catch passes near the line of scrimmage or in intermediate routes. He expects a larger role ahead of his fourth season. <\/p>\n

\u201cI definitely think I\u2019ll be moved around more. I\u2019ll be outside a little bit more, get some deeper shots down the field.
