Per a report by Ian Rapoport on X<\/a>, the Green Bay Packers are cutting their star cornerback, Jaire Alexander. Multiple teams could be interested in him, and the Baltimore Ravens could be one of them.<\/p>\n

In a recent article by PFF’s Trevor Sikkema, he lists six NFL teams who he thinks could be potential suitors for the two-time Pro Bowler, and one of the teams that he thinks could pursue him is the reigning AFC North champions.<\/p>\n

“This is another example of a team going all-in if the signing were to happen,” Sikkema wrote. “The Ravens lost Brandon Stephens from last year\u2019s secondary but still have Marlon Humphrey to play inside and out, as well as second-year cornerback Nate Wiggins… Baltimore signed Chidobe Awuzie to a one-year deal this offseason, but Alexander would be an upgrade over Awuzie’s 62.4 and 58.3 PFF coverage grades over the past two seasons.”<\/p>\n

The Ravens allowed the second-most passing yards in the league this past season, so a veteran like Alexander in their secondary could be exactly what the doctor ordered.<\/p>\n

He has only played seven games each of the past two seasons as a result of some injuries, but his last full season in 2022 was very solid. He tallied up a solid 56 total tackles, as well as five interceptions, showing his ability to both wrap up offensive players and get to the ball in the air.<\/p>\n

Baltimore is in prime position to contend for a Super Bowl in 2025, so adding Alexander could put the team over the top.<\/p>\n
