{"id":117683,"date":"2025-06-10T03:22:08","date_gmt":"2025-06-10T03:22:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/117683\/"},"modified":"2025-06-10T03:22:08","modified_gmt":"2025-06-10T03:22:08","slug":"wiggins-is-ready-for-a-huge-second-year-with-the-baltimore-ravens","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/117683\/","title":{"rendered":"Wiggins is ready for a huge second year with the Baltimore Ravens"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After a promising rookie year with the <a href=\"https:\/\/clemsonwire.usatoday.com\/search\/?q=Baltimore+Ravens\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Baltimore Ravens<\/a>, former <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/sportsdata.usatoday.com\/football\/ncaaf\/teams\/clemson-tigers\/3407\/\" data-autotag=\"cea88512-8004-4e2b-b437-f31f9900abc4\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Clemson<\/a> standout <a href=\"https:\/\/clemsonwire.usatoday.com\/search\/?q=Nate+Wiggins\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nate Wiggins<\/a> is aiming even higher in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Wiggins appeared on the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/sportsdata.usatoday.com\/football\/nfl\/teams\/baltimore-ravens\/366\" data-autotag=\"6f9d8950-4e8a-4277-ba96-ee5ce9eb842e\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Ravens<\/a>\u2019 \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ajuA3z6SOXQ\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Lounge<\/a>\u201d podcast this offseason and shared a lofty goal: 10 or more takeaways this year \u2014 whether via interceptions or forced fumbles.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust really get 10-plus turnovers, no matter [if it is] interceptions, forced fumbles. I need 10-plus,\u201d Wiggins said. \u201cAnd really just keep on [doing] what I did last year, just coverage wise, and be an all-around cornerback.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>To help reach that goal, Wiggins has made strides physically. He\u2019s added 10 pounds since last season, working closely with Ravens Director of Sports Nutrition Sarah Snyder to bulk up and improve his strength. \u201cI feel like this year is just going to be more power, more strength,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019m still trending to gain more pounds.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Drafted 30th overall by Baltimore in 2024, Wiggins gradually earned more playing time and solidified himself as a dependable piece in the secondary. He totaled 33 tackles, 13 pass breakups, one forced fumble, and a pick-six in Week 18 against Cleveland.
