LAMAR JACKSON has suffered a major $750,000 blow after making a workout decision.<\/p>\n

The star quarterback has refused to train with the Baltimore Ravens<\/a> during the offseason workouts.<\/p>\n

This is the second consecutive year Jackson has turned down the opportunity.<\/p>\n

As a result, he has forfeited another $750k, taking his total to a staggering $1.5million since 2024.<\/p>\n

Fans have been left stunned by the decision as they reacted on social media<\/a>.<\/p>\n

One posted: “I will put on a number 8 jersey and go to the practice if you split the $1.5 mill with me.”<\/p>\n

A second wrote: “Off-season workouts are a bore.”<\/p>\n

A third commented: “Nothing says you\u2019re overpaid like forfeiting $1.5m.”<\/p>\n

A fourth said: “Chump change.”<\/p>\n

Another added: “Pocket change to him.”<\/p>\n

In order to earn the money, the player must turn up for 80 per cent of the workouts.<\/p>\n

Jackson<\/a>, 28, has it written into his contract that he will get bonuses every year until 2027 if he takes part.<\/p>\n

The loss of the money means that his pay packet for 2025 will drop from $43.5m to $42.75m.<\/p>\n

Jackson is entitled to make the decision himself if he would prefer to work out elsewhere.<\/p>\n

However, if he were to pick up an injury away from the Ravens<\/a>‘ facilities, then the team may not need to pay him for the year.<\/p>\n

He was asked about his workout bonuses at last year’s mandatory mincamp but refused to discuss it.<\/p>\n

It is expected he will do the same at the next mandatory minicamp.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Ravens are in talks with Jackson over a new contract<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Team general manager Eric DeCosta has claimed that discussions are at an early stage.<\/p>\n

He said: “We’ve had some conversations before the draft, after the draft in person last week.<\/p>\n

“I think we’re in the introductory stage of looking at what an extension might look like.”<\/p>\n

Reports have claimed that Jackson could therefore be offered a new deal worth\u00a0$300MILLION.<\/p>\n
