We are counting down to the start of the 2025 regular season for the\u00a0Arizona Cardinals<\/a>\u00a0and are now less than 13 weeks away. They will open the season on the road against the\u00a0New Orleans Saints<\/a> on Sept. 7.\u00a0That is 88 days away.<\/p>\n

As we count down the remaining days of the offseason, let’s look at who has worn that number uniform over the years for the Cardinals<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Who has worn No. 88?<\/p>\n

Cardinals<\/a> players to wear No. 88<\/p>\n

It was last worn by tight end J.V. Cain, who played for the\u00a0St. Louis Cardinals<\/a>\u00a0from 1974-1978 before his tragic death in 1979. He collapsed on the practice field and died two hours later at the hospital.<\/p>\n

He was the team’s rookie of the year in 1974 when he caught 13 passes for 152 yards and a touchdown.<\/p>\n

1976 was his best season. He caught 26 passes for 400 yards and five touchdowns. He caught another 25 passes for 328 yards in 1977.<\/p>\n

WR Fred Hyatt (1968-1972)<\/p>\n

WR Sonny Randle (1959-1966)<\/p>\n

OL Joe Kuharich (1940-1941)<\/p>\n

Randle was one of the Cardinals<\/a>‘ all-time greats.<\/p>\n
