Titans HC Brian Callahan Provides Injury Update on Promising Rookie <\/a> originally appeared on Athlon Sports<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Tennessee Titans brought in a stellar rookie class during the 2025 NFL Draft. New general manager Mike Borgonzi made headlines by selecting Cam Ward with the No. 1 overall pick, but the new regime brought in plenty of value otherwise.<\/p>\n

Adding pass-catchers was clearly a priority, as the team selected two wide receivers and a tight end in the fourth round alone. Wideouts Chimere Dike and Elic Ayomanor have caught attention during OTAs, as has tight end Gunnar Helm.<\/p>\n

Another rookie who has been praised throughout the offseason program is second-round linebacker and edge rusher Femi Oladejo. Unfortunately, he left Tuesday’s mandatory minicamp practice with an injury.<\/p>\n

While nothing seemed to be too wrong with Oladejo, the team’s medical staff brought him off the field before the individual period on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, however, ESPN’s Turron Davenport reported<\/a>\u00a0that head coach Brian Callahan was expecting Oladejo to return to practice on Wednesday. He ended up being limited, but he was in attendance.<\/p>\n

Oladejo split his four-year college career between California and UCLA. All told, he recorded 240 tackles, including 25 for a loss, as well as 6.0 sacks, two interceptions and three fumble recoveries.<\/p>\n

With Harold Landry III now on the Patriots, Oladejo has a unique opportunity to step into a hybrid starting role for the Titans’ defense as a rookie. Tennessee did add veteran inside linebacker Cody Barton this offseason, but he should not be directly competing with Oladejo.<\/p>\n

The Titans still have almost three months until their first game of the 2025 NFL season, but it is still paramount for rookies to get every rep that they can during the offseason.<\/p>\n

Fortunately, Oladejo seems to be already working back from his ailment and should be able to contribute fully at training camp in July.<\/p>\n
