You’re an Eagle now. What does that mean to you?<\/p>\n
Powell-Ryland: “It means that I have a chance to fulfill a dream, and that is to play and be a great player in the NFL. It means I’m here to work and any job they give me, whether it’s rushing the passer, going out there and covering kickoffs, or making a tackle on punts, that’s what I’m here to do. I’m with a great team, a great organization, and it’s a battle every day against the best of the game. I love that challenge. That’s what I’ve always wanted to do, so this is my chance and I’m going to make the most of it.”<\/p>\n
What are your first impressions of the way the Eagles do things?<\/p>\n
Powell-Ryland: “Everything is top notch and very fast and precise. There isn’t any wasted time or intentions. It is a demanding job and that’s the feeling here. The Eagles just won the Super Bowl. This is an organization that knows how to do things the right way, so I’m here to be a professional every minute of the day and night.<\/p>\n
Why do you think you are such a good pass rusher?<\/p>\n
Powell-Ryland: “For me, it’s been about the work I’ve put in. Not just out on the field, but in every part of your life. This has to be your obsession, and you aren’t going to go out there and just beat somebody to get to the quarterback. The guy blocking you has a job, too. He’s a great player, too. It takes a lot of film study, it takes a lot of working on your game and practicing your craft, and continuing to build on your moves and helping the team win. I am here to help the Eagles win and that’s what I’m most looking forward to.
