Denver Broncos<\/a>\u00a0wide receiver Courtland Sutton is coming off his second-best\u00a0NFL<\/a> season.<\/p>\n

Sutton gained 1,081 receiving yards and scored eight touchdowns on 81 receptions in 2024, marking his first 1,000-yard campaign since 2019, his second year in the league. Sutton set a career high in receiving yards (1,112) that season, in addition to making his first (and to this day, only) Pro Bowl.<\/p>\n

But\u00a0Bleacher Report’s Alex Kay<\/a> believes 2024 may have served as Sutton’s last full season with the Broncos, as he suggests the\u00a0New York Jets<\/a>\u00a0should make a move for the veteran wideout before the season begins. He predicts the Broncos will receive a\u00a02026 fourth-round pick and a 2027 seventh-round pick in return.<\/p>\n

“Injuries and inconsistency have plagued Sutton for the majority of his NFL journey, one that could be further negatively impacted in 2025 due to the presence of Devaughn Vele,” Kay wrote. “Vele, an unheralded seventh-round pick last year, is turning heads at training camp and appears to be the heir apparent to Sutton\u2019s No. 1 receiver role. With him waiting in the wings and still having three seasons left on a dirt-cheap rookie deal, Sutton could soon find himself expendable.”<\/p>\n

Kay specifically sees the Jets as a landing spot for Sutton because the team is looking to build depth in its wide receiver room, which would provide newly-acquired quarterback Justin Fields with more weapons through the air.<\/p>\n

“The club needs to find a running mate for top wideout Garrett Wilson after the failed Davante Adams experiment lasted just 11 games. With Josh Reynolds and Allen Lazard currently penciled in as the potential starters alongside Wilson, Gang Green would be wise to make a run at Sutton,” Kay wrote. “The receiver would provide far better support than new quarterback Justin Fields\u2019 current options after Wilson and gives the squad a better chance of making a postseason foray.”<\/p>\n

Sutton has spent the entirety of his seven-year NFL career with the Broncos, who selected him with the No. 40 overall pick in the 2018\u00a0NFL Draft<\/a>. Across 98 games played (including 82 starts), he has 379 receptions, 5,340 receiving yards and 32 touchdowns to his name as a professional.<\/p>\n
