In the immediate aftermath of the\u00a0Miami Dolphins<\/a>‘ final regular season game of 2024, which resulted in the Florida-based franchise missing the playoffs, wide receiver Tyreek Hill made his stance on returning to the team as clear as can be.<\/p>\n

“I’m out, bro,”<\/a>\u00a0Hill told reporters in the locker room after the game.<\/p>\n

A move out of Miami has yet to materialize for Hill, who has not made any public statements about wanting to leave since January and attended the Dolphins’ mandatory minicamp this week.<\/p>\n

Bleacher Report’s Alex Kay<\/a>\u00a0believes that will not be the case by September, as he suggests the Dolphins’ front office should field calls with that of the\u00a0Arizona Cardinals<\/a>. Kay predicts the Dolphins’ return package will include two draft picks\u00a0\u2013 a third- and fourth-rounder in 2026.<\/p>\n

The financial ramifications of the deal should be incentive enough for Miami to move Hill, Kay wrote.<\/p>\n

“Hill\u2019s contract\u00a0calls for him to earn $27.7 million in guaranteed salary this season, but cutting or trading him would result in a manageable dead money hit of just $12.8 million. It would also free up nearly $15 million in immediate cap room,” Kay wrote. “With the \u2018Phins sitting on just $14 million in available cap space\u00a0\u2014 the sixth-lowest in the league \u2014 a breakup makes plenty of fiscal sense.”<\/p>\n

Kay likes the Cardinals as an ideal trade destination for Hill because it would provide them with a one-two punch at a position the team has not pursued aggressively in the draft or trade market so far this offseason.<\/p>\n

“The team is on the rise under head coach Jonathan Gannon, going from 4-13 in his first season to 8-9 last year. The receiving corps still needs a jolt, however, as Arizona avoided making any major splashes in free agency or the draft at the position,” Kay wrote. “While the Cardinals have a foundational pass-catcher in Marvin Harrison Jr. to build around for the long haul, adding Hill would give quarterback Kyler Murray the weapons he needs to contend in wide-open NFC West races this coming year and over the next few seasons.”<\/p>\n

Hill, who was named to the\u00a0NFL<\/a>‘s 2010s All-Decade Team, has put together a laundry list of accomplishments since his rookie season in 2016. He is a Super Bowl champion, a five-time First-Team All-Pro, and an eight-time Pro Bowler.<\/p>\n
