Pete Carroll\u2019s first offseason program as the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders was known for being high-spirited and high-energy sessions as Carroll, who in September will turn 74 years old and be the oldest head coach in NFL history, bounced his way through the practices.<\/p>\n
So, it was fitting that the team\u2019s mandatory minicamp (and the entire offseason program) concluded Thursday with the team going viral for some unusual and fun antics.<\/p>\n
What kind of antics, you ask?<\/p>\n
A giant ball. Yes, you read that right. <\/p>\n
See?<\/p>\n
According to Getty Images, Raiders\u2019 equipment staff member John Miranda was rolling on the field as players gleefully chased and pushed the enormous ball around the field.<\/p>\n
Carroll, after the minicamp ended, said there was a last day of school vibe going on.<\/p>\n
The players and coaches are now off until the group reports in late July for the start of training camp to prepare for the September 7 regular-season opener at the New England Patriots.<\/p>\n
