FRISCO \u2014 With Cowboys<\/a> players headed to offseason relaxation, there is one more on-field thing to complete: the annual Dak Prescott<\/a> workout sessions.<\/p>\n

Last year, Prescott, with former wide receiver Brandin Cooks,<\/a> hosted the offensive skill position players in Beaverton, Ore., for a three-day retreat of work and bonding.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou can catch a lot of JUGS, you can catch passes, but you want them catching them from you, catching them from the quarterbacks,\u201d Prescott said Thursday after the final day of the mandatory minicamp. \u201cAnd then lastly, there\u2019s that camaraderie. Getting those guys together, like you said, getting George [Pickens]<\/a> here in the last couple months. [We] know him, we\u2019re growing. But just getting to know him better, deeper, getting to know all the guys, especially with a new receivers coach, right.\u201d<\/p>\n

In previous years, Prescott held these sessions, which he pays for the majority of costs, in San Diego and Lake Oconee, Ga., which is located between Atlanta and Augusta. <\/p>\n

After his 2024 season was reduced to eight games because of a torn hamstring,<\/a> Prescott said he\u2019s grateful to be fully healthy as he enters Year 10.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been a great offseason,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s going to continue to be a great offseason until we get to camp. Honestly, just the momentum, just staying healthy and the momentum of this minicamp, these OTAs, and making sure that I\u2019m not the only one who keeps that momentum, but the rest of the guys and make sure some of these young guys are doing the things necessary and taking care of their bodies to hit the ground running when we get together in July.\u201d<\/p>\n
