Cleveland, you didn’t just embrace me; you became family. To every fan who cheered, shouted, and believed — you gave me purpose. To this city, with its grit, heart, and unforgettable spirit: you showed me what true community feels like.

“This city deserves a winning season every year. It’s earned it. This city doesn’t quit. The people never stop believing. And my Brothers in that locker room, will never stop fighting. Cleveland’s time is now … and not because they are owed anything, but because RESILIENCE ALWAYS WINS. Just like we preached everyday in meetings.”

Chubb, who signed a one-year deal with the Houston Texans earlier this month, became a staple of the Browns’ turnaround in 2018 after being selected 35th overall out of the University of Georgia. During his seven seasons, he posted four 1,000-yard rushing campaigns, including a career-high 1,525 yards and 12 TDs in 2022.

Injuries derailed his Hall of Fame-worthy career, limiting him to 10 games over his final two seasons. When he returned last October, Chubb scored a touchdown during the first quarter against the Cincinnati Bengals, though it was one of the few highlights of his final season with the lowly Browns. He finished with just 332 yards for a career-low 3.3 yards per attempt and three scores.

The fans, however, never stopped showing love toward their star offensive player.

“This isn’t goodbye to what we built; it’s a thank you,” Chubb wrote. “For the trust, the passion, and the moments that made me feel like I belonged here from day one. The only two in front of him are face-of-the-franchise Pro Football Hall of Famers Jim Brown and Leroy Kelly.

His story is over in Cleveland, but a new chapter begins in Houston, one that hopefully will be met with the same admiration among fans from the AFC South.

Houston Texans Pro Bowl running back Nick Chubb is ready to start over at NRG Stadium in 2025.…

[2056
115,1466,247,265,86,2429,85,54,19,1368,7,629,1367,221,253,2368,248,267,88,6,15,1132,587,152,4779,245,537,530,1259,1371,327,9,266,222,381,8200
0":"post-127139","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-houston-texans","8":"tag-afc","9":"tag-afc-south","10":"tag-american","11":"tag-american-football","12":"tag-browns","13":"tag-chubb","14":"tag-cleveland","15":"tag-cleveland-browns","16":"tag-draft","17":"tag-fame","18":"tag-football","19":"tag-georgia","20":"tag-hall","21":"tag-houston","22":"tag-houston-texans","23":"tag-houstontexans","24":"tag-national","25":"tag-national-sports","26":"tag-news","27":"tag-nfl","28":"tag-nfl-draft","29":"tag-nick","30":"tag-nick-chubb","31":"tag-of","32":"tag-oh","33":"tag-overall","34":"tag-overall-positive","35":"tag-positive","36":"tag-pro","37":"tag-pro-football-hall-of-fame","38":"tag-south","39":"tag-sports","40":"tag-sports-news","41":"tag-texans","42":"tag-university","43":"tag-university-of-georgia
["GET
