{"id":128092,"date":"2025-06-14T01:44:14","date_gmt":"2025-06-14T01:44:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/128092\/"},"modified":"2025-06-14T01:44:14","modified_gmt":"2025-06-14T01:44:14","slug":"how-ny-jets-aaron-glenn-attacked-the-breece-hall-trade-rumors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/128092\/","title":{"rendered":"How NY Jets&#8217; Aaron Glenn attacked the Breece Hall trade rumors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After an underwhelming 2024 season, <a href=\"https:\/\/jetsxfactor.com\/2024\/06\/15\/ny-jets-breece-hall-trade-rumor\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">trade rumors swirled<\/a> around New York Jets running back <a href=\"https:\/\/jetsxfactor.com\/team\/breece-hall\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Breece Hall<\/a>, but head coach <a href=\"https:\/\/jetsxfactor.com\/tag\/aaron-glenn\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Aaron Glenn<\/a> never blinked.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking with reporters at the Jets\u2019 mandatory minicamp\u2014which included <a href=\"https:\/\/jetsxfactor.com\/2025\/06\/12\/new-york-jets-minicamp-wraps-up-with-ol-running-wr-drills\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jets X-Factor\u2019s Robby Sabo<\/a> and Nick Faria\u2014Hall revealed that Glenn personally reached out to him this offseason to reassure him he remains part of the team\u2019s plans for 2025.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBreece, I don\u2019t want to trade you,\u201d Hall recalled of Glenn\u2019s words during that initial phone conversation. \u201cYou\u2019re our running back.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After a breakout 2023 campaign that saw him rank among the league leaders in scrimmage yards, Hall took a noticeable step back in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Despite a seemingly stronger offensive line\u2014despite its apparent <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/RobbySabo\/status\/1933203809032864221\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">failure to catch the ball<\/a>, as seen on Thursday\u2014the running back\u2019s efficiency dropped. The Iowa State product rushed for 876 yards, 118 fewer than the year before, while logging only 14 fewer attempts.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The New York Jets\u2019 big heavies doing the WR thing.
