\u201cI\u2019ll probably be one of those guys that it\u2019ll be out of nowhere,\u201d Barkley said. \u201cI\u2019ll probably just wake up one day, whether it\u2019s next year or two years or four years, and just be like, \u2018Yeah it\u2019s over.’ I don\u2019t think I will ever lose that passion. I\u2019m just a competitor… One of my favorite players of all time, probably my favorite player of all time, is Barry Sanders, so probably similar to that. Maybe one day it will be out of nowhere. I\u2019ll probably be balling and just be like, yeah, and call it quits.\u201dWhile the internet erupted with theories suggesting Barkley might be planning an imminent departure from the game, the full context of his remarks paints a different picture.
