The Thunder are one win away from their first championship in Oklahoma City. The Thunder beat the Indiana Pacers, 120-109, in Game 5 of the 2025 NBA Finals on Monday night to take a 3-2 series lead. Jalen Williams scored 40 points, and the Thunder pulled away late after the Pacers cut the deficit to two points in the fourth quarter. OKC will have a chance to win the title in Game 6 on Thursday.<\/p>\n
Williams was terrific all night, hitting 14 of his 25 field goal attempts. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander added 31 points and 10 assists, and the Thunder hit 14 3-pointers after making just three in their Game 4 win.<\/p>\n
For the Pacers, Tyrese Haliburton had an unusually quiet night as he dealt with a calf issue. The star guard was limited to four points and did not make a field goal (0 for 6). Pascal Siakam had a team-high 28 points for Indy, and TJ McConnell added 18 off the bench. The Pacers, who were on the verge of taking a 3-1 series lead before coughing up a fourth-quarter lead in Game 4, will return home for Game 6 needing a win to keep their championship hopes alive.<\/p>\n
