The Pittsburgh Steelers lost starting left tackle Dan Moore Jr. to the Tennessee Titans in free agency.<\/p>\n

Now there will be a bit of shuffling along the offensive line to make up for it.<\/p>\n

Last year’s starting right tackle, Broderick Jones, has announced that the team is moving him to the other side to replace Moore.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it went as good as it could go,\u201d Jones said, via Steelers Now<\/a>. \u201cYou know, with everything going on \u2014 with me moving back to [LT] from [RT]. I still got a couple more weeks to hone in on my skills and continue to develop on the left side \u2014 and come in ready for [training camp].<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I\u2019m being honest, I think I probably do need a couple more weeks. Not saying I\u2019d be bad, but just for me. Just to feel like I\u2019m in the mindset to play an actual game \u2014 versus somebody else other than going against Alex Highsmith or Nick [Herbig].\u201d<\/p>\n

Jones is a former No. 14 overall pick by the Steelers in the 2023 NFL Draft.<\/p>\n

The former Georgia Bulldog became the starting right tackle in Week 9 of that same season. Pro Football Focus says Jones allowed 30 pressures and five sacks that season.<\/p>\n

Last year, PFF noted Joness gave up 45 pressures and 11 sacks after taking over for Troy Fautanu after a season-ending knee injury.<\/p>\n

Jones admitted that he’s had to make an adjustment in his head now that he’s changing sides.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s just flipping the plays in my head. Because some of our plays, they\u2019re flip-flopped backwards,\u201d Jones said, via PennLive’s Nick Farabaugh<\/a>. \u201cSo you hear them and they might be going one way, but it may be called the other way. So just staying locked in with the plays and just making sure you know them. And you know the plays, you can play at 110%.\u201d<\/p>\n
