Delta Air Lines<\/a> will make it easier for Green Bay Packers<\/a> fans to fly nonstop from Green Bay to two away games this year, including the team’s matchup against former quarterback Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Delta added four nonstop, round-trip flights into and out of Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport<\/a> to its route schedule timed to four of the Packers’ early-season home and away games<\/a>, the airport announced on June 17. Delta also will use a larger jet for one of its normally-scheduled flights between Green Bay and Detroit to offer more seats for the season opener between the Packers and Lions<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Fans of the Washington Commanders<\/a> and Cincinnati Bengals<\/a> will find it easier to fly into Green Bay for their teams’ games at Lambeau Field in September and October, respectively, thanks to flights departing from Washington, D.C. and Cincinnati.<\/p>\n

Packers fans meanwhile will be able to fly nonstop to Phoenix for the Packers’ Oct. 19 game versus the Arizona Cardinals<\/a> and to Pittsburgh for the Packers’ Oct. 26 matchup with the Steelers<\/a> and their new quarterback.<\/p>\n

Delta is the second of the three major commercial carriers to add Packers game-related flights to its fall schedule. American Airlines in late May added four nonstop, round-trip flights<\/a> to its schedule for key Packers home games against the Washington Commanders, Philadelphia Eagles<\/a> and Carolina Panthers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Here’s what to know about each of the four nonstop flights and Delta’s plans for the Lions-Packers season opener.<\/p>\n

Delta will add seats for Detroit-Green Bay route for Packers-Lions season opener at Lambeau Field<\/p>\n

Delta plans to use a larger aircraft than normal for a Sept. 6 flight from Detroit Metro Airport to the Green Bay airport and on a return flight from Green Bay to Detroit on Sept. 8.<\/p>\n

The larger aircraft will increase the number of seats available ahead of the Packers-Lions season-opening matchup at 3:25 p.m. Sept. 7 at Lambeau Field.<\/p>\n

Commanders at Packers: Nonstop flight between Washington, D.C. and Green Bay<\/p>\n

The flight departs Reagan Washington National Airport at 10:05 a.m. Sept. 11 and lands in Green Bay at 11:10 a.m.<\/p>\n

The return flight departs the Green Bay airport at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 12 and lands in Washington, D.C. at 12:35 p.m.<\/p>\n

Tickets for the round-trip flight cost $1,249 per person, according to Delta’s website.<\/p>\n

Bengals at Packers: Nonstop flight between Cincinnati and Green Bay<\/p>\n

The flight departs Cincinnati\/Northern Kentucky International Airport at noon Oct. 11 and lands in Green Bay at 1 p.m.<\/p>\n

The return flight departs the Green Bay airport at 10 a.m. Oct. 13 and lands in Cincinnati at 1 p.m.<\/p>\n

Tickets for the round-trip flight cost $1,009 per person, according to Delta’s website.<\/p>\n

Packers at Cardinals: Nonstop flight between Green Bay and Phoenix<\/p>\n

The flight departs the Green Bay airport at 8 a.m. Oct. 18 and lands at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport at 9:35 a.m.<\/p>\n

The return flight departs the Phoenix airport at 11 a.m. Oct. 20 and lands in Green Bay at 4:45 p.m.<\/p>\n

Tickets for the round-trip flight cost $809 per person, according to Delta’s website.<\/p>\n

Packers at Steelers: Nonstop flight between Green Bay and Pittsburgh<\/p>\n

The flight departs Pittsburgh International Airport at 5:25 p.m. Oct. 25 and lands at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport at 10:36 p.m.<\/p>\n

The return flight departs the Green Bay airport at 6:05 p.m. Oct. 27 and lands in Green Bay at 9:58 p.m.<\/p>\n

Tickets for the round-trip flight cost $559 per person, according to Delta’s website. Note: Delta’s website on June 17 indicated there were only two seats left at that price.<\/p>\n
