But one thing seemed clear when Brian Schottenheimer assessed the position \u2013 KaVontae Turpin is considered more just a return specialist.<\/p>\n
Schottenheimer said he plans on Turpin being used more on offense this year, something we saw as the 2024 season progressed, with him being used as a receiver and running back. Turpin was first-team All-Pro yet again as a return specialist, becoming the only player in the NFL to have a kickoff and punt return for a touchdown.<\/p>\n
“I think he’s a dynamic weapon. I think he’s a dynamic player. I can’t say enough about his growth in the understanding of the football scheme over the last couple years,” Schottenheimer said. “It’s KaVontae doing the work to be able to move him around, and there’s really nothing he can’t do. We’re moving him in positions that two years ago, But incredible talent. It’s awesome to see him maturing as a football player.”<\/p>\n
