The Denver Broncos<\/a> are signing former Birmingham Stallions cornerback Mario Goodrich, according to James Larsen of UFL Newsroom<\/a>, marking the fourth straight year<\/a> the team has signed a spring football league player.<\/p>\n Advertisement<\/p>\n Goodrich (6-0, 186 pounds) won a national championship at Clemson and entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Philadelphia Eagles<\/a> in 2022. After spending his rookie season on the practice squad, Goodrich dressed for four games during the 2023 season, totaling five tackles.<\/p>\n After being waived by the Eagles, Goodrich went to training camp with the New York Giants<\/a> in 2024. After failing to make New York’s roster, Goodrich spent the 2025 spring season with the Stallions. He totaled 16 tackles, five pass breakups and three forced fumbles in six games.<\/p>\n Goodrich will hope to follow in the footsteps of outside linebacker Dondrea Tillman, who signed with Denver last spring after playing for the Stallions. Tillman went on to make the 53-man roster and totaled five sacks as a rotational pass rusher last fall.<\/p>\n Once the signing becomes official, the Broncos<\/a> will need to make a corresponding move to make room for Goodrich on their 90-man offseason roster.<\/p>\n
