{"id":139006,"date":"2025-06-18T07:07:10","date_gmt":"2025-06-18T07:07:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/139006\/"},"modified":"2025-06-18T07:07:10","modified_gmt":"2025-06-18T07:07:10","slug":"henry-ruggs-granted-special-release-to-speak-at-prisoner-rehabilitation-event","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/139006\/","title":{"rendered":"Henry Ruggs granted special release to speak at prisoner rehabilitation event"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LAS VEGAS (KTNV) \u2014 Former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ktnv.com\/news\/henry-ruggs-booked-into-high-desert-prison-to-serve-3-10-year-sentence\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Henry Ruggs<\/a> was granted a special release from prison to speak at a <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/hopeforprisoners.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;Hope for Prisoners&#8221;<\/a> event at the Billy Walters Center for Second Chances.<\/p>\n<p>During the event, conversations centered on how life can change in an instant, and Ruggs apologized to the family of 23-year-old Tina Tintor. On Nov. 2, 2021, Ruggs killed Tintor and her dog in a DUI crash.<\/p>\n<p>In May 2023, <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ktnv.com\/news\/full-coverage-of-fatal-suspected-dui-crash-involving-raiders-henry-ruggs-iii\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ruggs pled guilty<\/a> to felony DUI causing death and vehicular manslaughter.
