2<\/p>\n The New York Jets have signed UFL kicker Harrison MevisCredit: Getty 2<\/p>\n Mevis made 20 of his 21 field goal attempts last year with the Birmingham StallionsCredit: Getty<\/p>\n Mevis stands at 5-foot-11 and 243 pounds and had an impressive stint in the UFL<\/a>.<\/p>\n He went 20-for-21 on kicks with the Birmingham Stallions, only missing from 63 yards.<\/p>\n The 23-year-old hasn’t seen any playing time in the NFL yet, initially signing with the Carolina Panthers<\/a> before being waived.<\/p>\n That led to his signing in the UFL.<\/p>\n Mevis was exceptional in college, earning All-American honors as a four-year starter.<\/p>\n He made 89 of his 109 field goal attempts in college.<\/p>\n His “Thiccer Kicker” nickname came from Missouri<\/a> punter Grant McKinniss.<\/p>\n Mevis owns the SEC record for longest field goal at 61 yards, which he hit in 2023.<\/p>\n Jets fans were thrilled to see the new addition to their team and shared their thoughts on social media.<\/p>\n “Jets are back,” one fan said.<\/p>\n Aaron Rodgers makes major announcement over his personal life just days after $13.6 million Pittsburgh Steelers decision<\/p>\n “He was great at Mizz!
