The road to the NFL is becoming real for former Auburn<\/a> wide receiver KeAndre Lambert-Smith as he received his jersey number from the Los Angeles Chargers<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Los Angeles Chargers announced jersey numbers for their incoming draft class, including Lambert-Smith, who has been assigned No. 84<\/a> with his new team. The Chargers selected him in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL draft<\/a>, taking him with the 158th overall pick.<\/p>\n Lambert-Smith takes the next step in his career after spending one season in Auburn, where he led the team in receiving yards with 981 yards and eight touchdowns on 50 catches. Alex Katson of Chargers Wire shares why Los Angeles selected the talented receiver.<\/p>\n Lambert-Smith was a standout at the East-West Shrine Bowl, showing a more diverse route tree than Auburn asked of him, primarily hitches and go routes.
