The NFL’s rookie class can produce more than a few stars in the league, with select first-rounders and beyond able to find success. This year’s first-round draft picks include several individuals capable of achieving big things in the league.<\/p>\n

That includes the Green Bay Packers’ Matthew Golden, as the rookie receiver is looking to shine in his debut season after going No.23 in the 2025 NFL Draft.<\/p>\n

He participated in minicamp last week and will get into training camp in several weeks. Expectations are high as the team wants to get farther in the postseason than last year’s Wild Card loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.<\/p>\n

Golden is among the candidates who could achieve NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, should he outperform others in his class. That includes earlier picks like the\u00a0Tennessee Titans’ Cam Ward and\u00a0Jacksonville Jaguars’ Travis Hunter.<\/p>\n

The Texas Longhorns star was the fourth wide receiver selected overall in the first round. He could become quite popular with fans if he and Jordan Love connect often on highlight plays.<\/p>\n

Fans are certainly looking forward to the speedy rookie catching passes all over the field, as another option beyond their veteran receivers.<\/p>\n

Last month, the NFL Shop shared on Instagram<\/a> that Golden was eighth overall when it came to rookie jersey sales following the NFL Draft.<\/p>\n

He currently boasts over 185,000 followers on Instagram and 30,000 on his X. These numbers are likely to grow with his popularity during the season.<\/p>\n

However, with rising recognition and fame also comes other issues. That includes social media imposter accounts created to look like famous people and dupe fans.<\/p>\n

Golden posted an X update<\/a> where he warned his fans to watch out for a fake Facebook account pretending to be him. He included a screenshot and also asked people to report the fake account, which displayed his name and photo.<\/p>\n

In the screenshot, the imposter account’s bio showed over 3,300 “friends” and an email address suggesting it was connected with Golden.<\/p>\n

Fans reacted to the warning, expressing their opinions about online activities like the one on display in Golden’s X screenshot.<\/p>\n

“Welcome to fame,” an X commenter<\/a> wrote with a crying laughing emoji.<\/p>\n

Another individual on X<\/a> told Golden, “Aye man, being famous will always attract people to pose like you.”<\/p>\n

“You’ll have a dozen more before the season starts. Facebook doesn’t care,” another X commenter said<\/a>.<\/p>\n

An\u00a0X comment said<\/a>, “We got you,” echoing the sentiments of others who indicated they helped report the suspicious activity.<\/p>\n

Most likely, there are other fake Golden social media pages out there. However, it seems fans are ready to help out the rookie before his real journey with the Packers begins this NFL season.<\/p>\n
