Lamar Jackson has his teammates\u2019 backs.<\/p>\n
During a press conference Tuesday, Jackson said he believed tight end Mark Andrews caught too much heat for his pair of mistakes in the divisional-round loss to the Bills, including a drop that would have tied the game on a two-point conversion attempt in the final two minutes.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy guy be getting talked about, and I really don\u2019t like that,\u201d the star QB said. \u201cHe\u2019s done so much for us, and how people did him, I don\u2019t like that. Mark\u2019s still Mark.\u201d<\/p>\n

The criticism directed at Andrews stems from two particular plays from the 27-25 loss that ended Baltimore\u2019s season.<\/p>\n
The first play came in the fourth quarter with the Bills leading, 24-19, and less than nine minutes remaining.<\/p>\n
Andrews caught a pass over the middle from Jackson, but Bills linebacker Terrel Bernard came up from behind and knocked the ball out of his hands to cause a fumble.<\/p>\n

But that was not the end of Andrews\u2019 misfortune.<\/p>\n
The Ravens scored a touchdown to cut the score to 27-25 with 1:33 left in the fourth quarter and then went for two.<\/p>\n
Jackson rolled out of the pocket and fired a pass toward Andrews, who caught it for just a split second before dropping the ball and all but ending the game.<\/p>\n

Andrews was ridiculed on social media after the game for his costly errors<\/p>\n
However, those ripping him must have forgotten how well Andrews has performed throughout his career.<\/p>\n
Andrews is a three-time Pro Bowler, including one year as a first-team All-Pro. He has tallied 5,530 receiving yards and 51 receiving touchdowns in his seven seasons, all with the Ravens.<\/p>\n
While there was speculation that Andrews would be traded this offseason, that never happened.<\/p>\n
He has one year remaining on his contract with the Ravens, so it could be his final season with the team, especially with the team having 25-year-old Isaiah Likely emerging as a threat.<\/p>\n

Jackson said Baltimore is using last year\u2019s disappointment as fuel for the 2025 campaign.\u00a0<\/p>\n
