Justin Fields and Garrett Wilson<\/a>, former Ohio State teammates, were seen linking up on the field again<\/a>, this time in Green and White.<\/p>\n A few crisp completions during voluntary workouts offered a quick reminder of the chemistry they built years ago in Columbus.<\/p>\n Fields and Wilson played together at Ohio State in 2019 and 2020, forming one of the most electric QB-WR duos in the country. Despite never capturing a national title, the connection was undeniable. <\/p>\n Fields threw for 1,201 yards and 11 touchdowns when targeting Wilson, finishing with a 133.0 passer rating on those plays.<\/p>\n \u201cI mean, it\u2019s awesome, of course,\u201d Fields said<\/a> of their reunion. \u201cWe played together in college, and when I saw him, it was really like the old days. I don\u2019t think our relationship skipped a beat.\u201d<\/p>\n Wilson, now 24, is heading into his fourth NFL season. The Jets picked up his fifth-year option<\/a> this week, keeping him under contract through 2026. <\/p>\n He\u2019s already made franchise history, becoming the first Jets receiver to post three straight 1,000-yard seasons, and he\u2019s done it while catching passes from eight different starting quarterbacks.<\/p>\n Since being drafted in 2022, Wilson ranks 10th among NFL wide receivers in yardage (3,249) and seventh in receptions (270).<\/p>\n
