This year\u2019s tryouts for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders<\/a> featured a surprise guest judge that had both the hopefuls and country music fans THUNDERSTRUCK.<\/p>\n

In a post on the team\u2019s Instagram account,<\/a> a carousel of photos showing this year\u2019s judges with the caption \u201cpowerhouse panel\u201d reveals a surprise in the second photo. <\/p>\n

Country singer Kacey Musgraves! <\/p>\n

Season two of \u201cAmerica\u2019s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders\u201d just dropped on\u00a0Netflix<\/a>. And just before its debut, the squad posted a video on Instagram<\/a> where DCC Director Kelli Finglass announces Kacey, calling her \u201cmy musical therapist, my friend, a friend of the Dallas Cowboys.\u201d <\/p>\n

Kacey doesn\u2019t disappoint, strutting into the room decked out in a navy blue outfit with a white star on the tank top and white stars on the pants\u2019 rear pockets. She playfully turns her back to the crowd and shimmies to show them off.<\/p>\n

Kacey Musgraves Makes DCC Connection With Funny Video<\/p>\n

According to American Songwriter,<\/a> Kacey first caught the eye of Kelli Finglass when she posted an Instagram video <\/a>of herself dancing like a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader a little less than a year ago. <\/p>\n

In the video, the singer dances to DCC\u2019s signature song, \u201cThunderstruck\u201d by AC\/DC. She uses potato chip bags as pom poms, and attempts some of the cheerleaders\u2019 famous high kicks. In response, Finglass suggested that Kacey, \u201cwork a little bit on those kicks.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since then, Kacey, who is a Texas native, has had the cheerleaders serve as backup dancers during a show she performed in Dallas last November<\/a> during her \u201cDeeper Well\u201d Tour.<\/p>\n

In an Instagram post about the show, Kacey wrote<\/a>, \u201cThey said my high kicks need a little work but other than that I have a decent shot.<\/p>\n

THANK YOU, @kellifinglass<\/a>, @dcc_judy<\/a>, + @dccheerleaders<\/a> for making my hometown show so unforgettably Texan. YES MA\u2019AM 4 LIFE!\u201d<\/p>\n

The Admiration is Mutual Between DCC and Kacey Musgraves<\/p>\n

While Kacey Musgraves may be fan-girling over the cheerleaders, the admiration is mutual.<\/p>\n

Many of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders commented on the Instagram post<\/a> about her being a judge, expressing their surprise and excitement.<\/p>\n

Cheerleader Julissa Garcia commented, \u201cso iconic, literally still fan girling\u201d <\/p>\n

Tori Skills added, \u201cWe love you\u00a0@spaceykacey<\/a>!! Thank you so much for coming. This was the coolest thing ever performing for you \ud83d\ude0d\ud83e\udd79\ud83d\udc95\ud83d\ude2d\u201d<\/p>\n

Cheerleader Kleine Powell wrote, \u201cConsider me number 1 member of the\u00a0@spaceykacey<\/a>\u00a0fan club \ud83d\ude2d\ud83e\udd0d\u201d<\/p>\n

And fellow DCC Reece Christinee commented, \u201cStill speechless\ud83e\udd79\ud83e\udd0d\u201d<\/p>\n

Director Kelli Finglass told American Songwriter, \u201cWe\u2019ve had so much fun performing with her over the years. She honestly feels like part of our DCC family. Her energy is infectious and her style is just so fun. We knew she\u2019d be the perfect surprise judge for this year\u2019s final audition.\u201d<\/p>\n
