Troy Aikman is keeping his distance from Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.<\/p>\n

The NFL legend has a property in Montecito, Calif., which is located near the royal couple\u2019s home.<\/p>\n

The athlete says he won\u2019t be spending time with his neighbors anytime soon, however, joking in a new interview that they don\u2019t have much in common.<\/p>\n

In a new interview, Troy Aikman \u2014 who also lives in Montecito \u2014 joked that he doesn\u2019t have much in common with the royal couple. Getty Images<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think they\u2019re drinking much light beer,\u201d the EIGHT Elite Light Beer founder told Us Weekly<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Aikman, 58, noted that everyone in the community knows Markle, 43, and Harry, 40, live there.<\/p>\n

\u201cI haven\u2019t run into them. But they are there, from what I can gather. I think anyone with a heartbeat knows that they\u2019re out there,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I\u2019m not hanging with them, that\u2019s for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n

Over the years, Markle and Harry have given rare glimpses inside their life in Montecito with their children. meghan\/Instagram<\/p>\n

The \u201cWith Love, Meghan\u201d host has not attempted to \u201cfit in\u201d with her community, one of her neighbors claimed in an interview with the Daily Mail last month. meghan\/Instagram<\/p>\n

One of Markle and Harry\u2019s other neighbors, Richard Mineards, claimed that the As Ever founder \u2014 who has reportedly been dubbed \u201cthe Princess of Montecito\u201d<\/a> by her neighbors \u2014 never attempted to \u201cfit in\u201d with the Montecito crowd<\/a> as opposed to the more \u201capproachable\u201d Harry.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe pays attention to every appearance, every word, every gesture,\u201d Mineards told the Daily Mail<\/a> last month. \u201cAnd here in Montecito, we appreciate simple people, even famous ones. Meghan doesn\u2019t play the\u00a0community\u00a0game.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mineards praised Harry as being much more friendly toward locals in the ritzy Santa Barbara County neighborhood.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe is always charming, approachable, with that very recognizable Windsor accent. He smiles, shakes hands, willingly exchanges a few words,\u201d he said. \u201cWe\u2019ve seen him at the beach, in an organic coffee shop, or cycling in the hills.\u201d<\/p>\n

Markle and Harry have been living in their $14 million Montecito mansion with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, since 2020. Though they may not be hanging out with Aikman, they are good friends with neighbors Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King. They were also close to Ellen DeGeneres, though the comedian has since sold her home and moved to England.<\/a><\/p>\n

According to another famous neighbor, Sharon Stone, the couple was down-to-earth after moving in following their royal exit.<\/p>\n
