Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders<\/a> has been pulled over for excessive speeding twice since he was selected in the fifth round of the NFL Draft in April.<\/p>\n

Sanders, 23, was stopped by the Strongsville (Ohio) Police Department at 12:24 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17, and cited for going 101 mph in a 60 mph zone while driving his Dodge TRX truck.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The quarterback was also pulled over by the Ohio State Patrol in Brunswick Hills, Ohio on June 5, cited for driving 91 mph in a 65 mph zone, according to WJW-TV<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sanders, the son of NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, addressed the incidents during an appearance at Browns teammate David Njoku\u2019s celebrity softball game on Thursday, June 19.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tUniversity of Colorado football head coach Deion Sanders is dealing with an illness that\u2019s keeping him away from the team and other professional obligations. Sanders, 57, currently has an \u201cunspecified health issue\u201d and has been away at his home in Texas, according to USA Today.\u00a0 The health situation comes as the University of Colorado\u2019s annual [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n

\u201cI know I be vibin\u2019, bro. I\u2019m just a little boy,\u201d Shedeur said with a chuckle<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019ve made some wrong choices. Personally I got to own up to them. I made some not great choices. I learn from them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cleveland Browns spokesperson Peter John-Baptiste told Cleveland.com<\/a> on Thursday that Shedeur was \u201ctaking care of the tickets.\u201d<\/p>\n

As of Friday morning, both tickets had been paid, according to the Akron Beacon Journal<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Shedeur paid $269 in fines and court fees on Friday to settle his ticket from the June 5 incident. He also paid $250 in fines and court costs for the June 17 ticket, which also cost him four points on his driver\u2019s license.<\/p>\n

After a dramatic fall to the fifth round, Shedeur was selected by the Browns with the 144th overall pick in the NFL Draft. Shedeur was widely expected to be drafted much higher, with many experts predicting him to be selected in the first round.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe all didn\u2019t expect this, of course,\u201d Shedeur told his supporters at a Draft party after he wasn\u2019t selected in the first round. \u201cBut, I feel like with God, anything possible. Everything possible. And I feel like this happened, you know, for no reason.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shedeur is currently competing for the Browns\u2019 starting quarterback job with veteran Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett and 2025 third round draft pick, Dillon Gabriel.\u00a0<\/p>\n
