ESPN released its All Quarter Century team<\/a> for the NFL on Wednesday, which honored the best players over the past 25 seasons in the form of a 53-man roster.<\/p>\n

How DeMarcus Lawrence is already making impact with Seahawks<\/a><\/p>\n

Four former Seattle Seahawks made the cut: left guard Steve Hutchinson, linebacker Bobby Wagner, cornerback Richard Sherman and safety Earl Thomas III.<\/p>\n

But there was one notable Seahawks player not on the list: Hall of Fame left tackle Walter Jones<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jones was listed as an honorable mention, while former Cleveland Browns left tackle Joe Thomas and former Washington\/San Francisco 49ers left tackle Trent Williams were selected instead.<\/p>\n

Former NFL quarterback Brock Huard<\/a> strongly disagreed with that choice during Thursday\u2019s Blue 88 segment on Seattle Sports\u2019 Brock and Salk.<\/p>\n

\u201cWalter Jones has to be on this list,\u201d Huard said. \u201cJoe Thomas? Trent Williams? They\u2019re not as good as Walt.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you surveyed pass rushers and defensive ends this century and said, \u2018Who would you rather face \u2013 Joe Thomas, Trent Williams or Walter Jones?\u2019 I promise you, Walter Jones would be the one they would not want to face, because athletically he was that gifted, he could move that well (and) he was a dancing bear you couldn\u2019t beat.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Jones was a four-time AP first-team All-Pro selection, with all four of those honors coming in the 2000s. (ESPN\u2019s Aaron Schatz and Seth Walder, who compiled the list, wrote that only production from the 2000 season and afterward was considered.)<\/p>\n

Thomas received six AP first-team All-Pro honors, while Williams received three.<\/p>\n

\u201cTrent Williams, amazing player, great player,\u201d Huard said. \u201cJoe Thomas, equally phenomenal athlete, great player. But neither of those guys is Walter Jones.\u201d<\/p>\n
