FOX sideline reporter Erin Andrews has made it known over the years that she’s a big-time fan of Taylor Swift.<\/p>\n

Believe it or not, Andrews and her podcast co-host Charissa Thompson asked Swift to give Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce a shot before they started dating.<\/p>\n

“If you are looking for a guy, please try our friend Travis, he is fantastic,” Andrews said in 2023. “This is one, Taylor, I know we’re not the best of friends, we’re not even friends, but I consider you one. Take us up on this, go on a date with this guy.”<\/p>\n

While we’re unsure if Swift even watched their show, she was clearly willing to date Kelce. After this power couple went public their romance, the “Shake It Off” singer started attending Chiefs games.<\/p>\n

Swift’s fans have grown to love the NFL due to her affiliation with Kelce and Chiefs.<\/p>\n

With that said,\u00a0Andrews gave Swift credit for helping the NFL increase its TV ratings for women.<\/p>\n

“Our ratings are up for women, which is huge for us.\u00a0What\u2019s really cool is women aren\u2019t as afraid. Listen, ‘America\u2019s Game of the Week,’ which is the game I do on Sundays, the demographic is split down the middle. It\u2019s like the highest-rated show for women out there, which is amazing for us,” Andrews said\u00a0at The Cannes Lions 2025 Festival of Creativity, via Awful Announcing<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“But I think the casual fan doesn\u2019t feel as afraid to watch professional sports right now, watch the NFL because, well, our girl Taylor helped out with that. It\u2019s cool. Which, we\u2019re excited. We want casual fans, we want fans that know a lot. Listen to the podcast, watch our broadcasts, we\u2019ll help teach you the game<\/p>\n

It’s no secret the NFL appreciates Swift’s support. In 2024, league commissioner Roger Goodell gave the Grammy Award winner a shoutout.<\/p>\n

“Having the \u2018Taylor Swift effect’ is also a positive,” Goodell said. “Both Travis and Taylor are wonderful young people, and they seem very happy. She knows great entertainment, and I think that’s why she loves NFL football.”<\/p>\n

NFL fans should expect to see Swift at several Chiefs games this upcoming season.<\/p>\n

As for Andrews, she’ll continue to cover “America’s Game of the Week” for FOX.<\/p>\n
