The Cincinnati Bengals<\/a> are highly unlikely to be trading Trey Hendrickson at all this summer despite the public contract holdout.<\/p>\n

But that won\u2019t stop outsiders from suggesting or agreeing to the idea that the Bengals<\/a> should trade Hendrickson for a bounty of assets and let his contract drama be someone else\u2019s problem.<\/p>\n

Take, for example, NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah on “Brock and Salk,” who agreed the Seattle Seahawks<\/a> should be all over a Hendrickson trade:<\/p>\n

\u201cThis dude is a technician. He’s not even just a power-based rusher or speed rusher. He does everything well. But he just has an instinct and a feel and a knack. And those guys, I think that prolongs their run a little bit, provided he stays healthy. He just knows how to rush.”<\/p>\n

This offseason, the Bengals granted Hendrickson permission to seek a trade that never materialized. While the organization majorly broke character with that move, factors like Hendrickson\u2019s age, contract demands, past holdout threats and trade asking price combined to prevent a move.<\/p>\n

Those same factors remain and explain why the Bengals both aren\u2019t worried about looking for a trade, nor seemingly too concerned about Hendrickson\u2019s very public holdout this summer.<\/p>\n

While teams like the Seahawks would improve with Hendrickson, what he brings to the table is why they won\u2019t likely blink at any offer from another team giving them a call.<\/p>\n
