For former PSU\u2019s Saquon Barkley<\/a>, the First Act was the NFL<\/a> Draft in 2018. Penn State\u2019s game-changing running back was headed<\/a> to the New York Giants\u200a\u2014\u200ahaving gone #2. He came to rebuild a franchise that was long past the Super Bowl victories<\/a> of Eli Manning and Tom Coughlin. That task wouldn\u2019t be easy. The division rival Birds had just won a World<\/a> Championship.<\/p>\n

Perhaps no quarterback in the Covid Restricted 2020 NFL Draft knew adversity like Jalen Hurts<\/a>. Drafted to Philadelphia where he would eventually supplant Carson Wentz<\/a> as the team\u2019s franchise quarterback\u2014 even he didn\u2019t know exactly what his role would be on the Eagles. His work ethic\u200a\u2014\u200aa no nonsense approach to leadership got him<\/a> into the top spot. His act one was to get onto the roster. Earning the right to start for the Eagles. Act 2\u200a\u2014\u200awas two trips<\/a> to sports\u2019 biggest stage\u200a\u2014\u200aand to win one.<\/p>\n

A.J. Brown also entered the NFL with high expectations. Picked in the 2nd round<\/a> in 2019 by the Tennessee<\/a> Titans\u200a\u2014\u200aBrown made an almost immediate impact\u200a\u2014\u200ahelping<\/a> the Titans to the AFC Championship Game in his first season. Brown met another mentor<\/a> there in Julio Jones. AJ Brown\u2019s Act 2 was to join the Eagles as one of the centerpieces<\/a> of Philadelphia\u2019s passing attack\u200a\u2014\u200aand like Devonta Smith\u200a\u2014\u200aone of the NFL\u2019s best wide receivers with nearly 4,000 yards and 25 touchdowns.<\/p>\n

Brown wasn\u2019t the only player who arrived<\/a> at the Novacare Complex ready for Act 2. In 2024\u20132025\u200a\u2014\u200aSaquon Barkley had a historic NFL season. A fresh start<\/a> down I-95\u200a\u2014\u200awith a division rival who may have seen his value\u200a\u2014\u200abut had not invested<\/a> in it. Saquon Barkley\u200a\u2014\u200ain the prime of his ability for an NFL running back<\/a>\u200a\u2014\u200abegins his final Act as well.<\/p>\n

For all three Superstars\u200a\u2014\u200athree of the best in the NFL\u200a\u2014\u200awill be to attempt to run back a miracle season together. Hurts would replace Wentz as franchise quarterback who has faded in Philadelphia\u2019s memory<\/a>.<\/p>\n

One thing is for certain\u200a\u2014\u200aAct 3 has the potential to be not only as good as the first two.
